Brasserie. Little Next Door

my mum’s in town for the next few months so i jumped at the opportunity to take her fooding (& shopping) with me in LA. so i’ve had this place bookmarked on my yelp account for months already and i thought this weekend was the perfect time to try it.

the skinny: cute ambiance and a decent brunch spot. we sat indoors but right by the patio so we got the best of both worlds. most people seem to prefer to sit outside but hey—it was a nice day so i don’t blame them. thing is, we came late to brunch because kelly had work so by the time we got there the restaurant was pretty empty so we got seated right away.

for brunch i ordered their wild mushrooms benedict since it got such great reviews. however i was quite disappointed because i found that it lacked flavor, but i guess the perfectly poached eggs and yummy salad kinda made up for it. i think next time i’m going to go for their omelets instead (my mum’s Parisian omelet was very good).

&like i mentioned in previous posts, i definitely have a soft spot for bakeries so i couldn’t help but snap a couple photos of all the pasteries and cakes displayed. we were going to order the desert of the day (look how cute it is!!!!) after brunch but we opted for coffee and macaroons instead (salted caramel and chocolate-orange).

overall, a very enjoyable experience. mum liked it a lot so that in itself was a success! yay!
