thinkspace - in the wake of dreams

today was the opening reception of thinkspace gallery’s In the Wake of Dreams showcase featuring: Stella Im Hultberg, Amy Sol, Mari Inukai, and Audrey Kawasaki. it was kind of a last minute decision to go but i am so glad i did.

nothing really beats seeing beautiful paintings up close. i felt like i was in disneyland

and i also had the amazing opportunity to meet one of my favorite artists

afterwards, we hit Mezza, a small mediterranean restaurant down the street.

shared a falafel appitizer plate and a gyro and beef shawarma entree with binh and kelly

opening reception is this weekend at thinkspace gallery in culver city!
who else is going?

{ Wacom Inkling }

The Inkling digital sketch pen captures a digital likeness of your work while you sketch with its ballpoint tip on any sketchbook or standard piece of paper. Designed for rough concepting and creative brainstorming, Inkling is ideal for the front end of the creative process. Later, refine your work on your computer using an Intuos4 tablet or Cintiq interactive pen display.

In addition to capturing your sketch, stroke by stroke, Inkling allows you to create layers in digital files while you sketch on paper. Digital files are transferred to your computer using the Inkling Sketch Manager software, and later, exported to applications such as Adobe® Photoshop® and Illustrator®. Files can also be opened with the included Inkling Sketch Manager software to edit, delete, add layers or change file formats.

$199.00. Available Mid-September.

This looks amazing… I’m curious about the dev. team behind it.

first day back from vegas and it was already time for an adventure.

unique la was held one again in los angeles this weekend and this time kelly decided to join me for some shopping.

though i prefered the venue from last time, this venue was pretty nice. the event was semi-outdoors so people were able to catch some summer sun, and not to mention the weather was perfect (such a great change from nevada’s sweltering heat).

and for dinner we met up with carol and moises for some home style korean comfort food. a little too much sauce on the noodles but still good! i’m definitely going to get a good night’s sleep from that meal

Sidewalk Scribble by Peter Lowey.

Glorious doodley animation of a day in the city. Sort of abstract, definitely wiggly. Plus, music by Liszt!
